This is the best alternative Silver powder that is milled to #325 and is an ultra fine dust made intentionally for Kintsugi (traditionally Japanese gold repair) and Maki-e (traditional Japanese lacquer work) from Aluminium. I wrote my Master's dissertation on conservation of Japanese Ceramic's 20 years ago at NYU and worked at the Brooklyn Museum in their Asian Art Department. I have practiced Kintsugi for near 20 years and this is the best powder I have found as an alternative for silver. The easiest method of application is with a brush over the tacky repaired surface. Please note that all alternative gold and silver powders on the market are non-edible and require an additional topcoat for food surfaces. I would suggest a food grade clear urethane, epoxy, or lacquer for this topcoat.
