This 4 cm palette knife is the perfect tool for mixing your artistic mediums. It can be used for mixing oils and acrylics with colorants, or as I use it for mixing Urushi in the art of Kintsugi with the other additives to make the different adhesives and fill materials for the art. It works great while mixing Urushi with wheat and rice glue, tonoko and jinoko powders, as well as, nikawa (animal hide glue). The steel on this tool is housed in a wooden handle and is of a stiffer variety than a standard palette knife but more flexible than the rectangular palette knife that I sell. This tool also works well to apply the different lacquer glues to the edges of shards during the assembly process as well as cleaning up any of the excess lacquer glues after assembly but before polymerization. A simple tool that works at a great price!
